Day 4 Delft
The route between Leiden and Delft was the most scenic yet. First in spite of different routes, we convened for a lakeside second breakfast. Then some of us (the lazy ones) followed Gandalf’s route along wide canals with beautiful forests, villages and canal-side homes.
Of course we arrived in Delft before Gandalf and were enjoying a drink and snack at a pub that stuck way out into the mooring basin. When Gandalf arrived and got settled Captain Hans joined us at the pub.
Delft is a lovely city famous for pottery – Cathy, who is a potter, especially enjoyed the pottery stores and museum.
