August 8 – 18  Heavenly R&R in Gorssel

A Time to rest and catch up on the world – which seems to be racing on without us just fine. And a chance to finally bring the blog up to date. Nothing much happening.

Gorssel makes a perfect base – a charming town with everything you need in walking distance, surrounded by more charming towns all within easy day rides – Devender, Zutphen, Almen, Vorden, Joppe, & more connected by beautiful trails, places to stop for beer or lunch. Easy walks to the grocery store for cooking simple meals, and time to catch up with friends Pauke, Rinus, and Thomas.  Heaven.

August 18, Last night we wrapped up our stay in Gorssel with a little celebration. Today we on the the next place. This was our last stay at places we know and love – Lots of new places ahead. But our perfect weather has ended and we have wind and rain ahead.
