August 4-5 Barneveld to Harskamp

We headed out pretty early and reached our next stop in Harskamp and that restored my faith in  booking skills. The cottage is in a field removed from roads and traffic, reached by a foot bridge across a canal and a sandy path with towering shade trees leading to a perfect place to stay. A full kitchen/living space with big sliding doors to a comfortable, charming and shady brick patio, separate bath and bedroom.  It had a remote feeling yet very near a large grocery store. The Plus store was so close it was an easy walk that felt good after the long ride. Jim met me later by bike to lug the groceries.  We have 3 nights here so plenty of time to enjoy this charming space and to explore the fascinating history and nature preserves.
