August 27 –Toul on La Moselle Canalisee

After Annecy we were eager to get back to the Netherlands, so we drove 2 long days with just an overnight stop in Toul, Fr. We weren’t expecting anything special, but it turned out to be a charming small town. Our tiny house was right across the street from a marina that we enjoyed exploring and sipping wine at the small marina restaurant. It reminded us so much of the movie “Chocolat” which we promised to watch again once home. We especially liked imagining ourselves on a boat like the one named “Lost in France”. Maybe in another life.
