August 15 – Side Trip to Canada

Talk about carrying kitschy to extreme! The Canada House was a woodpile decorated with all kinds of winter sports… our own little chairlift for dining, an actual gondola, snow shoes, a sled with a steering wheel and brakes!  If you learned to ski in the 50s or 60s you will recognize the sign of how to ride a poma lift. r
